Checking your files

bimai validate checks every file in a project's .bimai/ folder: that each one has the right fields, that the people and positions they mention exist, and that workflows have no missing steps or loops. It never changes anything.

curl -LsSf https://docs.bimai.nl/install.sh | sh # Windows: powershell -ExecutionPolicy ByPass -c "irm https://docs.bimai.nl/install.ps1 | iex"
bimai validate # the project in the current folder
bimai validate ../bridge-3 # or another project

When something is wrong, each problem is one line: the file, where in the file, and what's wrong.

.bimai/ownership.yaml: cover.0.until: '9 oktober' is not a 'date'
.bimai/project.yaml: 'id' is a required property
.bimai/workflows/weekly-coordination.yaml: steps.cluster.needs: step 'fetch-isues' does not exist
3 problems found
Exit codeMeans
0Everything is valid
1Problems were found
2No bimai project in that folder

Add --json to get the result as {"valid": …, "problems": [{"file", "location", "message"}]}, for scripts and CI.
